Project Overview

DOTS is a mobile app designed to create a vibrant secondhand marketplace and community platform for Gen Z. This design addresses the need for a space where personal style, sustainability, and community engagement intersect.

Key Design Features:

User-Friendly Interface: Clean, intuitive design for easy navigation and interaction.
Community-Centric: Emphasizes user profiles, social interactions, and shared interests.
Marketplace Integration: Seamlessly combines social features with buying and selling functionality.
Style Showcase: Allows users to display and discover unique fashion items and collectables.

Design Rationale:

The app's design focuses on creating an inclusive, engaging environment that encourages users to express their individuality while participating in a larger community. By blending social media elements with e-commerce capabilities, DOTS aims to make the process of buying and selling pre-loved items more interactive and appealing to younger users.
The colour scheme and visual elements are chosen to evoke a fresh, modern feel that resonates with the target audience. The layout prioritizes user-generated content and easy access to community features, fostering a sense of belonging and active participation.
This design concept demonstrates how digital platforms can be reimagined to promote sustainable consumer habits while building meaningful connections among users with shared interests.
